Authority shifted from church structures to individual leaders, experience became a mark of legitimacy, and personalities like William Branham, Kathryn Kuhlman, and Jim Jones influenced the theology, worship, and expectations that still echo in churches today.
Charismatic Christianity often feels ancient—but its core ideas are surprisingly modern. This first post traces the holiness movement, revivalism, and early Pentecostalism to show how experience slowly moved from confirming belief to reshaping it. Understanding this history is essential for biblical discernment today.
Mormonism (LDS) is not Christianity. They follow a different Jesus--a created being, not God Almighty in the flesh. Their doctrine teaches salvation is earned (grace + works), that they can become gods, and rejects the Trinity. These aren't minor differences--they contradict the core of the Gospel. "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." -John 14:6 There's only one true Jesus, one true Gospel, and one way to be saved: by grace through faith in Christ alone. Put your trust in Him.
Upon reflecting on my journey, I realized that I have not yet shared my story in any kind of meaningful way on this blog. Over the past few years, I have experienced significant growth and many changes. Here is a little bit about me and my beliefs.
