A Bit of Encouragement

The Lord has repeatedly been gracious and merciful enough to me to reveal lies I’ve believed. He’s shown me truth through scripture and a few very wise teachers. I’ve been both grateful and horrified through this growth experience. So grateful for being pulled out of the deception, but horrified at how I got and stayed in it for so long, and grieved by how many are still in it.

So here is my encouragement to all of my brothers and sisters in Christ: Test everything against scripture. Find exegetical, biblically sound teachers. Keep seeking God. Keep in worship and fellowship at a local church. Keep praying. Keep reading and studying the Bible. Stick with it. Even when you don’t feel it. Even when you’re down and don’t see the tangible workings of God in your life. Even when you wonder how you’re going to make it through whatever circumstances you’re in. Even if you’re not sure that it’s making a difference. God sees your perseverance.

"Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Thessalonians 5:23
