Change of a Lifetime

While I’m in the process of writing and researching the post about the mark of the beast (if you don’t know what I’m referring to, see this video), I thought I’d just give a brief life update. Our family is embarking on a journey that we’ve talked about and planned for in the background for several years now. And we’re finally making the leap. This in-between part is hard, though.

So, what exactly is this journey? We have decided that now is the time to find a home on a chunk of land and begin homesteading. A couple of months ago we sold our house and are staying with family for the winter while we work, search for a good property to start our new life-adventure in the spring or summer and build up my husband’s side business a bit.

Once we find our new home, if needed, we will be converting it to off-grid power, installing a fireplace or woodstove, putting up some greenhouses and a garden, building livestock pens and coops (and getting the livestock), homeschooling our kiddos, and focusing more on God and a simple lifestyle. Clearly there’s a lot of work that goes into all of the things that I’ve listed, and it’s not a simple week-long task list.

As for now, we’re just living with family, searching and waiting. It’s a big change, but we have no doubts that in the long run, it will be worth it. It will afford us the opportunity to spend more time together as a family and to slow down a little in general. We plan to track our endeavors here on my blog and on a YouTube channel that’s yet to come, so stay tuned for more!

Blessings,
Robin 💚
